The second installment of Octopath Traveler will be available on Xbox consoles and personal computers running Windows

During Xbox's Tokyo Game Show livestream on Thursday, it was announced that the release of the Square Enix RPG titled Octopath Traveler 2 is planned for "early 2024."

The reveal trailer for Octopath Traveler 2 for Xbox and Windows is available below.

The original Octopath Traveler game was released in 2018 and, according to Square Enix, has sold over three million copies on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and Stadia.

The Japanese publisher released Octopath Traveler 2 in February 2023 for platforms including the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam.

According to Square Enix, the sequel "elevates the series' HD-2D graphics, blending retro pixel art and 3D graphics to even greater heights."

They state, "In the world of Solistia, eight new travelers embark on an exciting new era. Where will you go? What adventures await you? Whose story will you bring to life? Your path is entirely your own. Embark on your own captivating adventure."
