The 2024 roadmap for World of Warcraft confirms the launch window for The War Within
Plans for new updates for the latest World of Warcraft expansion, Dragonflight, were unveiled on the game's official website. Executive Producer Holly Longdale shared details about three upcoming content updates slated to arrive before the launch of the next phase, The War Within.
According to Longdale, the fourth season of Dragonflight will focus on revisiting dungeons, raids, and outdoor content within the expansion. Players can expect updated rewards and several intriguing new features.
The anticipated release window for The War Within is set for late summer or early fall 2024, following alpha and beta testing planned for spring or summer.
Furthermore, the 2024 roadmap outlines World of Warcraft Classic's development plans. An update for Classic Hardcore introducing "Solo Self Found" support is expected in February, promising a more challenging and engaging gaming experience. Additionally, the roadmap includes phases of releases in the Season of Discovery, continuing the adventures for players. And of course, Cataclysm Classic is on the horizon in the first half of the following year!
The latest BlizzCon marked the announcement of three new expansions for World of Warcraft, confirming that Cataclysm will debut in World of Warcraft Classic next year.
The Worldsoul Saga, described as an "epic story commemorating the first 20 years of World of Warcraft and setting new foundations for Azeroth's future," will commence with The War Within, followed by its second and third parts, 'Midnight' and 'The Last Titan'.
