Update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077 is aimed at addressing the issue of corrupted saves on PS5
This week, the studio announced the commencement of an investigation related to potential save file corruption issues on PS5 after playing the new Phantom Liberty expansion using the original game save.
It is expected that update 2.01 will be released soon, aimed at addressing this problem by increasing the maximum size of save files, although it won't be able to recover already damaged save files.
Last week, CD Projekt released the highly anticipated Version 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077, which saw revisions to many key game systems. The only planned expansion, Phantom Liberty, was released this week.

Despite plans to address the current issues in Cyberpunk 2077 through relatively minor updates like 2.01, the game's development head, Gabe Amatanjelo, announced that the studio no longer intends to release major updates, as their focus shifts to other projects, including the game's sequel.
The next project in the Cyberpunk universe, Project Orion, will now be developed at a new American branch called CD Projekt Red North America.
