The G2 Esports coach intends to depart from the team once the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 wraps up
The coach from G2 Esports in CS2, Jan "Swani" Mueller, has announced his intention to leave the team after the conclusion of the BLAST Premier World Final 2023. He revealed this decision on his social media platforms.
The primary reason behind this choice has been his serious health issues, making his work burdensome. Consequently, Mueller has decided to prioritize more time for himself and his close ones.
Following the departure of Remy "XTQZZZ" Koenyama, Mueller temporarily fulfilled the coaching duties and was later appointed as the permanent coach. Under his guidance, the team secured victories at the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023, and Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023.
It's time to take care of myself and my loved ones. Over the past year, I've gradually been feeling worse, and it's taken a serious toll on me. I'm immensely grateful for all the memories. I traveled the world with my teammates, doing what I love. But when a passion becomes a burden, it's time to let go.
- Jan "Swani" Mueller
The BLAST Premier World Final 2023 tournament is scheduled from December 13th to 17th in Saudi Arabia. Eight teams will participate, competing for a prize pool of one million dollars. This event will mark the final major CS2 event of 2023.
