Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Upcoming Five-Star Character Emilie

A recent Genshin Impact leak has unveiled the in-game appearance of an upcoming five-star character, Emilie. Although HoYoverse has not officially confirmed her arrival, numerous leaks suggest that Emilie will join the roster in Version 4.8.

Expanding the Genshin Impact Roster

Genshin Impact continues to expand its pool of playable characters. The recent Special Program event confirmed three new characters for update 4.7: Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos. Clorinde and Sethos are slated for the first banner cycle, appearing alongside the five-star Dendro user Alhaitham. The second part of the update will feature Sigewinne and the Dendro Archon Furina, who will get her first re-run.

Emilie's Anticipated Arrival

Despite being mentioned multiple times by various characters, Emilie has yet to make an official in-game appearance. Described as a renowned perfume designer from Genshin Impact's Hydro nation, Emilie is said to be good friends with Chevreuse, another playable character. A recent leak on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit showcased three potential designs for Emilie. All three designs feature a green and brown color palette, maid-like outfits with floral accessories, and differences in details such as flower types, bag designs, and the size and color of Emilie's shoes and socks.

Design and Abilities

Emilie is rumored to be a new Dendro user, which aligns with the green and brown color scheme in the leaked designs. She is expected to be a five-star character wielding a polearm, making her the first five-star character with this weapon and element combination. The only other Dendro polearm user in the game is Liyue's four-star character Yaoyao, who was introduced in Version 3.4.

Recent leaks have provided more details about Emilie's signature weapon. Her polearm is rumored to have a stacking passive effect that grants bonus ATK, supporting the speculation that she will be a powerful sub-DPS character. Genshin Impact 4.8 is expected to be released around July 17, and Emilie appears to be the sole new character for this update.

Following HoYoverse's typical update schedule, Genshin Impact update 4.8 will likely include the annual Summer event, which precedes the release of a new major region. The recent livestream event featured the first teaser for Natlan, confirming that the Pyro nation will be the next destination for the Traveler and Paimon.
