Programmer James Lambert has unveiled the initial demo version of his project titled "Portal 64: First Slice," designed specifically for the Nintendo 64 console. This version incorporates the first thirteen chambers from the original Portal game.

Despite the constraints posed by the Nintendo 64, Lambert managed to retain the portal mechanics and functionality of the portal gun within the game. The demo can be launched on both the console itself and via an emulator on a PC. However, creating a ROM file will necessitate an official licensed version of Portal for the PC.

In forthcoming updates, the developer aims to introduce additional test chambers. Below is the latest trailer showcasing the project.
