At the end of this month, Alan Wake will become a part of the game Dead By Daylight
From January 30, the game Dead by Daylight will introduce a playable character inspired by Alan Wake from Alan Wake 2.
The Alan Wake Chapter add-on in Dead by Daylight will feature both actors who played pivotal roles in the franchise: Ilkka Villi, portraying Alan in live-action scenes, and Matthew Porretta, the voice actor throughout the series. Porretta has recorded new audio specifically for Dead By Daylight.
"Since its initial launch in 2010, the game Alan Wake has had a tremendous impact on our team at Dead by Daylight," says Mathieu Coté, Head of Partnerships at Behaviour Interactive.
"Our game has been influenced by both broad themes and specific elements, creating a certain connection between them. This character always seemed like an ideal fit for the world of Dead by Daylight.
"The arrival of Alan in the Fog as a Survivor feels like a completion of a circle, especially considering the recent release of the franchise's second part, which remains fresh in players' memories."
"We're thrilled and honored that Alan Wake will become a part of the Dead by Daylight universe," added Sam Lake, Creative Director of Remedy Entertainment.
"From the outset of our discussions with Behaviour Interactive, it was evident that the narratives of both games unexpectedly intersect, drawing inspiration from numerous similar elements. With the release of Alan Wake 2, we're ready for a new nightmare."
"In one of the best years for video games, Alan Wake 2 stands out. It's an incredible survival horror game, exuding confidence, eccentricity, and humor, truly revolutionizing the way the video game industry narrates stories."
