S1mple will not participate in IEM Sydney 2023; he will be replaced by B1ad3 at the tournament

s1mpleNAVI's sniper, Alexander s1mple Kostylev, will miss IEM Sydney 2023 for CS:GO and will be replaced by Andrei B1ad3 Gorodensky at the tournament. The Ukrainian esports organization has not provided immediate comments on this matter but confirmed to Players' editorial staff that NAVI plans to release an official statement today.
Later on, NAVI confirmed that B1ad3 would substitute for s1mple. However, they did not disclose the reason for s1mple's absence from the club.
IEM Sydney 2023 will take place from October 16 to 22 in Sydney, Australia. Teams will compete for a prize pool of $250,000 and the opportunity to secure a spot at IEM Katowice 2024.
