The developers of the game PUBG have made the decision to remove the enemy scanner known as the Blue Chip Detector from the game

Krafton, the developer of PUBG, has announced the discontinuation of the Blue Chip Detector, an enemy scanning device, in the game. This decision was made in response to significant player dissatisfaction with the changes made to this item in patch 24.1.

The Blue Chip Detector was a device that scanned for enemies within a 100-meter radius on the game map every 5 seconds. However, players were frustrated with the slight delay in receiving the scan results, which prevented them from obtaining real-time enemy location information. This item was first introduced in patch 19.1.

The negative feedback from players prompted the developers to take action. In an attempt to address the issue, they significantly reduced the likelihood of the Blue Chip Detector dropping and reworked it in patch 24.1, making it available to all players right from the start of the match. Unfortunately, these changes only resulted in another wave of criticism from the player community.

In addition to discontinuing the Blue Chip Detector, the PUBG development team plans to make adjustments to other tactical equipment, such as the medical kit and universal repair kit. These changes will be implemented in the upcoming update 24.2. The developers have expressed their appreciation for the players' feedback and assured them that they will continue working to improve the game's balance.
