Overwatch 2 Update Introduces Tank and Hero Adjustments
Following its mid-season update, Overwatch 2 rolls out an emergency patch featuring nerfs for tanks and adjustments for three heroes. This update arrives shortly after Overwatch 2's mid-season update, which significantly buffed tanks and revived a popular event. Among the latest changes are the introduction of Mythic weapons and a new crossover event.
Blizzard has officially partnered Overwatch 2 with the Transformers franchise in its mid-season update, integrating Autobots and Decepticons into the game. The Summer Games return with the beloved Lucioball arcade mode, alongside general and specific hero tweaks. Tanks in Overwatch 2 received buffs to both passive and active abilities, with D.Va and Reinhardt seeing strengthened skill sets. Additionally, Overwatch 2 addresses hero balance in its latest update.
Overwatch 2 Emergency Patch Adjusts Tanks and Heroes
Overwatch 2 has deployed an emergency hotfix, implementing nerfs for Ramattra and Zarya, and changes for Pharah, Illari, and Lucio. Following the significant tank buffs in the mid-season update, Overwatch 2 has adjusted Ramattra's Nemesis Form cooldown to 8 seconds, reduced base armor to 75, and lowered base health to 250. Zarya also sees adjustments, with her Projected Barrier and Particle Barrier cooldowns increased to 11 seconds and duration reduced to 2.25 seconds.
Pharah receives subtle adjustments, reducing her base health from 250 to 225, responding to community feedback without full nerfs. Illari's Healing Pylon cooldown is now 14 seconds, and her ultimate, Captive Sun, costs 12% more. Lucio's Sonic Amplifier knockback increases by 10%. Blizzard has also dialed back previous buffs to Zarya's barriers and reduced Ramattra's durability in Nemesis Form. These adjustments aim to balance damage heroes against Overwatch 2's formidable tanks.
