In a groundbreaking move for the esports industry, FIFAe has formed a strategic partnership with Gamers8, the renowned gaming and esports festival based in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the evolution of FIFAe and aims to propel the global growth of football esports.

Gamers8: The Land of Heroes will be the host venue for all three prestigious FIFAe competitions—the FIFAe Club World Cup, FIFAe Nations Cup, and FIFAe World Cup. Taking place from July 6th to July 19th in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, this festival will be the culmination of the current era of EA Sports' FIFA series. Following this event, EA plans to rebrand its FIFA video games to EA Sports FC, with the initial release expected in September 2023. FIFA has also announced its intention to launch a new game under the FIFA name.

This partnership brings a remarkable increase in the prize pool for the FIFAe competitions, skyrocketing from $1.2 million to an astounding $3 million. This substantial boost aims to attract a larger pool of participants and foster a more competitive environment.

Saudi Arabia has established a strong presence in FIFAe and FIFA esports, boasting two former world champions who have represented the Kingdom in past tournaments. Additionally, it was among the first nations to compete in the inaugural Nations Cup held in 2019.

FIFAe has been actively championing inclusivity within its competitive circuit. In March, the organization unveiled an inclusivity program called FAMEHERGAME, and in June, participants engaged in a boot camp and tournament designed to equip aspiring female players with essential industry skills.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the partnership with Gamers8, Romy Gai, Chief Business Officer at FIFA, stated that this collaboration would provide the largest platform for players to showcase their skills, engage with the FIFAe community, and inspire future generations to pursue their passion.
