The organizers of MDL Spring 2017 made an announcement for the professional Dota 2 arena that the tournament was sustained. The organizations took this decision because of moving the dates of The Kiev Major 2017 for a week, which affected the desire of teams to go to China just in a few days after the end on the major-tournament.

Previously, they wanted to host the event from May 10 till 14 in China. Neither the list of participants not the prize pool has been announced yet.
