Phantom Assassin holds the second spot, having been chosen in 704 million matches. This places Pudge's nearest competitor at a distant 300 million games behind his staggering one billion. Despite his high popularity, Pudge's win rate remains around the average 50%, with a pick rate of 33%. The sheer amount of time invested in this hero is astounding, tallying up to between seven hundred and eight hundred million hours.
Additionally, in their latest update for DOTA, Valve introduced some surprising changes to one of Pudge’s abilities, continuing to shape the gameplay experience around this frequently chosen hero.
