Sprout Shakes Up Roster: Anlelele Released and sL1m3 Benched Amid Strategic Overhaul
Sprout has recently made some significant changes to their roster, parting ways with Anton "Anlelele" Huynh and moving Emil "sL1m3" Stolz to the bench, signaling his availability for transfers. This announcement from the German esports organization is a prelude to more updates promised for the upcoming Saturday.
These adjustments follow a period of instability within the team, marked by promotions from their academy, Anlelele's recruitment, and Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss's temporary move to HEROIC at the close of the previous year.
Starting 2024, Zyphon returned to Sprout, only to be transferred to TSM shortly afterwards. The departures of Anlelele and sL1m3 are the latest developments in a series of changes spurred by disappointing performances that led to a significant drop in the team's global ranking to the 80th position.Anlelele joined Sprout from Espionage in November 2023, maintaining a 1.03 rating over his three months with the team.
sL1m3, a Sprout Academy alumnus, was promoted to the main squad after a trial period that followed Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov's move to Natus Vincere. Despite a strong showing in a tight match against G2, sL1m3 struggled to maintain his performance level into the 2024 season, achieving a 0.92 rating as the team's primary AWPer. This led to the decision to explore other options for his role.
The current lineup for Sprout includes:
- Rasmus "raalz" Steensborg from Denmark
- Jan "cej0t" Dyl from Poland
- Daniil "Sdaim" Tupov from Ukraine as a stand-in
With coaching by Danny "BERRY" Krüger from Denmark, and Emil "sL1m3" Stolz from Denmark now benched and open for transfer opportunities.
